Manufacturer range figures are achieved in ideal conditions. Real-world range can be half that, depending on how and where you ride. Here is what to expect – and how to make the battery last.
Claimed range
| Model | Battery | Claimed range |
|---|---|---|
| Surron Hyper Bee | 50.4 V 25 Ah | up to ~50 km |
| Surron Light Bee X 2025 | 60 V 40 Ah | up to 75 km |
| Surron Ultra Bee T 2025 | 74 V 60 Ah | up to 115 km |
| Surron Ultra Bee T 2026 | 74 V 60 Ah | up to 140 km (Eco) |
| Talaria Komodo | 97.2 V 45 Ah | 70–115 km |
| Surron Light Bee 2 | semi-solid-state | more than 159 km |
These figures are reached riding calmly in an economy mode. Riding hard on a track, expect around half the claimed range.
What reduces range most?
- Ride mode and speed – Sport or Turbo modes and high speed use the most energy.
- Terrain – climbs, sand, mud.
- Rider and load weight.
- Temperature – in the cold lithium batteries temporarily lose capacity.
- Tyre pressure and maintenance – low pressure increases rolling resistance.
How to extend range
- ride smoothly and use regeneration if your bike has it;
- start in economy mode and use more power only where you need it;
- check tyre pressure before riding;
- in cold weather keep the battery warm until you ride.
The battery is the most expensive part
A battery can cost thousands of euros, so looking after it pays off:
- Do not leave it fully drained. A completely empty battery may go into protection mode or be damaged. Charge it after riding.
- For longer storage leave it at 40–60% charge. Storing it full or empty for long periods ages it.
- Charge and store at room temperature. Do not charge a cold battery – let it warm up first.
- Use only the original charger.
- Store indoors in winter and check the charge level monthly.
- Protect it from water and impacts. Do not pressure-wash around electronics and connectors.
When is a battery worn?
Signs: noticeably shorter range, sharp voltage sag under throttle, controller errors. If you suspect your battery is weakening, our workshop in Kaunas can run diagnostics, and we stock original batteries and parts. More care tips in electric motorcycle maintenance.
