This Peartune tuning kit removes the 16mph (25km/h) speed limit, allowing the motor to help you at higher speeds. For these Shimano bikes, the speed limit is raised to 31mph (50km/h).

Real speed will be displayed up to 14-15mph (22-25km/h), at higher speeds the bike will show incorrect, slower than real speeds.

The tuning kit can be activated directly on your bike’s display. After pressing the 'LIGHT' button, from now on you will be able to ride at a speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) and even up to 31 mph (50 km/h)!

To deactivate the tuning kit, press the 'LIGHT' button again. Your e-bike will then work the same as before installation of the chip.

If the Light button is not activated on your ebike, do not connect red cable, and tuning kit will be activated when you will turn on the ebike.

This Peartune tuning kit is made to fit all Shimano EP8 motors, with all Shimano displays made for EP8 motors.

Not Compatible with Shimano E8000 / E7000 / E5000. You would need Peatune for Shimano E8000 / E7000 / E5000.

When connecting Tuning Kit to an e-bike you will find connectors colored to make installation very simple. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation easy for you. Disassembly of our tuning kit is just as easy. If you have any troubles with installation or disassembly, do not hesitate to contact us.

If you are planning to install Peartune on a brand-new bike, make sure you ride it for at least 0.6 miles (1 km) before the tuning kit is activated.

We strongly recommend using other safety features and protective gear to prevent injuries in higher speeds.

Peartune products are thoroughly tested and we stand by their quality - Peartune provides 2 years warranty to all their products.

In case of updating the software of your e-bike, uninstall the tuning kit from the e-bike first, update the software and reinstall tuning kit back. Product's warranty does not cover eBike software updates. We recommend to contact us before updating the software.
