Tuning module for the Bosch Smart System. Compatible with all Bosch drive systems that are equipped with the Smart System and whose motor support ends at 25km/h (15.5mph) from the factory. Note: Bikes with rim magnet are not supported
The tuning kit manipulates the speed signal without altering the motor's power relative to pedaling speed. This guarantees a smooth motor control without speed limit interruptions. Depending on a tuning kit, some determine when assistance stops, while others remove the restriction entirely for continuous support. However, the achievable speed mostly depends on the eBike model. Achievable speed can be calculated using a simple formula:
Speed = Cadence [rpm] * Wheel circumference [mm] * Front Chainring Teeth / Rear Chainring Teeth * 60 [min/h] / 1.000.000 [mm/km]
The tuning kit can be activated directly on your bike’s display, after pressing the ' - + - + ' buttons. After Tuning kit activation speed limit is displayed for 5 seconds. If you would like to change maximumm speed, just press '+' or '-' keys. Possible values: 16... 28mph (25... 45 km/h). Default value: 20mph (32 km/h). The set value is saved.
To deactivate the tuning kit, press the ' - + - + ' buttons.
The tuning is always switched off after switching on the bike.
It is possible to set a "softer curtailment behavior" (dynamic mode). This significantly softens the otherwise very abrupt deceleration at the speed limit. Correct display of the speed, the distance covered and the average speed at all times.
Attention: When tuning is activated, the speed displayed is too low from 21km/h and the distance measured is too short. The odometer reading is therefore too low after using the tuning.
This tuning kit is compatible with Bosch Smart System. Bikes equipped with a rim magnet are not supported by the tuning. Not compatible with with e-bikes with Bosch ABS system as well.
Volspeed V2:The Smart System is most easily identified by the Intuvia 100, Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 display type or control unit LED Remote, Purion 200 or the system controller. he tuning kit is compatible with Drive Unit Software versions up to 13.13.1

When connecting Tuning Kit to an e-bike you will find connectors colored to make installation very simple. We have prepared detailed instructions to make installation easy for you. Disassembly of our tuning kit is just as easy. If you have any troubles with installation or disassembly, do not hesitate to contact us.
If you are planning to install Volspeed on a brand-new bike, make sure you ride it for at least 0.6 miles (1 km) before the tuning kit is activated.

Warranty does not cover damage resulting from eBike software updates. Remove the tuning kit before updating the software. Check with us first to ensure the kit is compatible with your updated eBike. We cannot guarantee that the kit will function the same after updates. Please exercise caution.
