Compatible with the following 2014 - 2021 Bosch motors: Active Line, Active Line Plus, Performance Line, Performance Line CX including motors of the 4Gen, 3Gen, 2Gen and all the latest updates. 

The contactless and wireless BadassBox transmits a modified signal in order to override the speed limit of your eBike – without interfering with the motor's electronic circuitry or software. There's no need to open the motor and there is no risk of damaging it. 

The BadassBox can be fitted in seconds – and just as quickly removed, restoring your eBike to its former road-legal condition. With the new snap-lock fastening you can attach and remove your BadassBox with just one hand in seconds. Badassbox has an optional securing feature on the snap lock using a cable tie.

From now on you will be able to ride at a speed up more than 30mph (50kmh)! The BadassBox is attached to the speed sensor of the eBike and overrides the 16 mph (25kmh) speed limit. Remove it and your eBike is restored to its original state.

Badassbox is used with a AAA battery. Tool-free battery change can be carried out quickly and easily while you're on the road – but should only be necessary once a year, or every 7000km. 

To protect against moisture and mechanical stress, the electronics are glued into the casing and completely sealed with a special casting compound.

After the dongle is installed, your eBike display will not show real data. For this reason we recommend using other GPS-related accessories for more precise data acquisition of driving data.

Please, be aware that the tuning kit does not add extra power to your eBike motor. it only removes speed limits and enables you to reach 30mph (50kmh) if you would pedal enough.

Bosch diagnostic is not able to find if you were using BadassBox or not. Also, please be aware that all the tuning kits are carefully tested before sending it out to You. 

What is included:

Will BadassBox 4 Bosch work with my eBike? 

This tuning kit is compatible with all eBikes that have Bosch Motor manufactured from 2014-2021 (4Gen; 3Gen; 2Gen;). This tuning kit works perfectly with all the latest Bosch updates.

Including all Active Line, Active Line Plus, Performance Line and Performance Line CX models including motors of the 4th generation. Even with the latest update! 

Assembly

The BadassBox 4 Bosch is fitted over the Bosch speed sensor next to the rear wheel. When the snap-lock clicks into position, the BadassBox is fitted securely to the sensor. For extra secure fitting, the BadassBox can also be fastened with a zip tie.

Once the BadassBox has been fitted onto the sensor, the spoke magnet must be offset to the casing edge in the direction of the snap-lock clasp. It's now ready for use.

Following removal of the BadassBox, the spoke magnet must be returned to its original position.

If you have any troubles with installation or disassembly, do not hesitate to contact us.

If You are planning to install BadassBox on brand-new eBike, make sure you ride it for at least 0.6miles (1km) before the Tuning Kit is installed.

Volspeed V4 has an easier and faster plug-n-play installation (no setup required)

New speed limit of 28 mph (45 km/h) on V4, where V3 has unlimited speed (more prone to errors, however, they are extremely rare)

Volspeed v4 is fitted with much more error-proof engineering.

The Volspeed tuning kit comes with original plugs and color-coded wires for an easy and perfect fit. Installation manuals and videos provide step by step detailed instructions and are easy to follow and understand. The Volspeed does not require any diagnostic tool for installation.

The tuning module is plugged into the connections of the drive unit. These are located under the left engine cover. Depending on the type of bicycle, you will need different tools to remove this cover. Most of the time you will need an ISIS crank puller and a Torx TX20 wrench.

When connecting Tuning Kit to an e-bike you will find connectors colored to make installation very simple. We have prepared detailed instructions and videos to make installation as easy as possible above. Also, our customer service is always here to help! 

Activation: After successful installation of the tuning kit, please activate it on the speedometer. Press "minus" for 3 seconds while standstill or while driving.

Volspeed is manufactured and designed in Germany and is compatible with all 2014-2021 Bosch e-bike motors (4gen / 3gen / 2gen).

The main feature of the tuning kit is removal of 16mph / 25km/h speed limiter. After the tuning kit is installed the e-bike shows actual speed on the speedometer, and also upgrades to the new 28 mph (45 km/h) speed limit.

Volspeed V4 has the new maximum speed of 28mph (45km/h) setting and cannot be adjusted.
